I wiped them up last night and new ones were back this morning!
We have a mite infestation problem in our kitchen, laundry, our bedroom and in our clean clothes.
Infestations seem to be heaviest near the laundry. We have tried cleaning every surface and floor with bleach almost 3 times a day. They do seem to reduce but numbers are increasing again as time goes on, in spite of what we’re doing. I thought central air would help, but it hasn’t.
I am freaking out, afraid they are going to get into my possessions soon.
These mites love humid damp area’s, hence the appearance of more in the laundry.
Wiping down with ammonia based cleaners will reduce the numbers if you continue to do this on a daily basis, but will not solve the problem.
The best plan will be to search for and remove any mould/mold, assure you open a window and use an exhaust fan when using the washer or dryer. Open up the house as much as you can, as i said they love humidity and damp…. combine the two and you have the best possible breeding ground for these little mites.
